These terms govern your use of MEAL, an AI-powered assistant operated by iKanisa Ltd.

1. Service Description

MEAL is an AI assistant for Rwanda NGO and development operations including monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, donor compliance, grants support, and community feedback systems.

2. Professional Advice Disclaimer

MEAL does not provide legal advice, safeguarding sign-off, or donor certification. Verify all outputs with a qualified NGO compliance, MEAL, finance, or legal professional.

You should independently verify important outputs with a qualified NGO compliance, MEAL, finance, or legal professional before making material business, legal, tax, audit, prudential, donor, or operational decisions.

3. Acceptable Use

• Do not use MEAL for unlawful purposes or to facilitate fraud, abuse, or professional misconduct.
• Do not submit confidential third-party data unless you have authority to do so.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, compromise, or misuse the service or its security controls.
• Do not rely on automated outputs without appropriate human review.

4. AI Model Disclosure

MEAL is powered by large language model technology and may generate incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated content. Outputs should be treated as drafts or research support, not final professional conclusions.

5. Scope

• Monitoring and evaluation design, indicators, logframes, and learning support
• Rwanda NGO compliance, donor reporting, grants controls, and accountability mechanisms
• Operational policy drafting and review for community feedback, safeguarding, and program governance

MEAL does not replace licensed legal advice, audit assurance, safeguarding investigations, or donor approval processes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, iKanisa Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MEAL. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda, except where mandatory local or supranational rules apply.

3. Data Retention

We retain operational data only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, support, and legal compliance. Locally stored conversation history remains on your device unless you clear it.
